Angling and Rafting in Subansiri, Arunachal Pradesh

Angling and Rafting in Subansiri: Subansiri River originates in the Tibetan Himalayas and flows into India via Arunachal Pradesh. It enters India at Taksing flowing via the towns of Daporijo and Dumporijo. The Subansiri is 300 miles long and with tributaries such as the Sie and Kamla rivers, it is one of the largest tributaries of the Brahmaputra river.

DAY 1 :
When you arrive at Delhi Airport, our member will pick you up and check you in at a hotel.

DAY 2 :
After overnight rest, catch a 4-hour flight to Dibrugarh from Delhi. Arrive at Dibrugarh Airport; explore the town in the evening and night halt in Dibrugarh.

DAY 3 :
Drive early morning to the Ferry point and cross the Brahmaputra to reach Bogibil Ghat. Drive to Ziro for night halt.

DAY 4 :
Drive from Ziro to Daporijo (175 km); night halt at a clean and comfortable hotel.

DAY 5 :
Meet with rafting crew, briefing on the river, introduction with staff and crew, safety talk. Raft down to first camp a little downstream to Gongo village. O/n on river camp.

DAY 6 :
Raft downstream. A full day of paddling and fishing. Night halt at a camp near Kamla River confluence. O/n at river camp.

DAY 7 :
Another full day of paddling with some interesting rapids. Later, set up camp and do a little Angling, as this area is a good spot for Golden Mashers. O/n at river camp.

DAY 8 :
Raft down to Cipla Mukh Camp and face big volume class 3 rapids along the way. Set up camp. O/n at camp.

DAY 9 :
A full day of fishing. Camp at Rakhiok Mukh.

DAY 10 :
Break camp early morning and paddle down to take out point at Gerukhamukh. Drive to Dibrugarh for a flight back home early morning.
