There are two Amarnath Helicopter routes
- Baltal – Panchtarni – Baltal route (2 km trek to Holy Cave from Panchtarni)
- Pahalgam – Panchtarni – Pahalgam route (6 km trek to Holy Cave from Panchtarni)

Q. How can I register for Amarnath Yatra online?
Ans. Visit https://jksasb.nic.in/register.aspx. Select the route and fill in the necessary information.
Q. Which documents are required for Amarnath Yatra registration?
Ans.
1. Filled in prescribed Application Form; and
2. Prescribed Compulsory Health Certificate (CHC) issued on or after the specified date by the Authorized Doctor/ Medical Institution.
3. Four passport-sized photographs (three for Yatra Permits and one for the Application form)
Q. How to prepare for Amarnath Yatra?
Ans.
1. Prepare yourself for the Yatra by becoming physically fit. It is advised that you start doing a morning or evening walk at least a month before the Yatra.
2. Improve the oxygen efficiency of the body by starting deep breathing exercises and Yoga, especially pranayam.
3. Consume about 5 liters of fluid a day to combat dehydration and headaches.
4. Take in plenty of carbohydrates to reduce fatigue and prevent low blood sugar.
5. When symptoms of altitude illness appear, descend immediately to a lower elevation.
6. You should immediately contact the nearest medical facility if you experience any symptoms of High Altitude Sickness or discomfort.
Q. What is the age limit for Amarnath Yatra?
Ans.
Registering for the Yatra is not permitted for anyone under 13 years of age or above 75 years of age, or for any woman over six weeks pregnant.
