Kokernage Doodhpathri and Dal Lake

Kokernag is a sub-district town and a notified area committee in Breng Valley (The Golden Crown of Kashmir), Anantnag district in the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The place is known for the botanical gardens, pristine freshwater springs, and rainbow trout farm. It is 25.3 km from Anantnag via NH244. It is one of the most popular weekend getaways from the state capital of Srinagar

Doodhpathri (translation: Valley of Milk ; Kashmiri pronunciation: [dɔdɨ patʰɨr]) is a tourist destination and a hill station in the Indian administered union territory of Jammu and Kashmir.[3] It is located in Khan Sahib area of Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir.[4] Situated at an altitude of 2,730 metres (8,960 ft) from sea level, it is located at a distance of 42 km (26 mi) from Jammu and Kashmir's summer capital Srinagar and 30 km (19 mi) from district headquarters Budgam.

Dal is a lake in Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, India. It is an urban lake, the second largest lake in Jammu and Kashmir, and the most visited place in Srinagar by tourists and locals. It is integral to tourism and recreation in the Kashmir valley and is variously known as the "Lake of Flowers",[1] "Jewel in the crown of Kashmir"[2] or "Srinagar's Jewel".[3] The lake is also an important source for commercial operations in fishing and water plant harvesting.
