Kolkata: Several Durga Puja organisers in the city have made the various works of Satyajit Rayas the central theme and recreated many aspects of his mo vies in their pandas as a tribute to his 101stbirth anniversary.
Some organisers have decided to focus on the strong women protagonists in Ray's movies, while some are going to recreate a scene from the iconic Pather Panchali and the music room from Jalsaghar to commemorate the occasion.
Designers will be using a lot of props, accessories and imageries to recreate the scenes inside the pandals. An entire ground in Baranagar is being transformed into Nischindipur village of ' Pather Panchali in its 79th year. Organisers Nainan Bandhab Samity are calling the theme Sata barshér Poreo Satyajit.
