Digha is a coastal resort town in the East Indian state of West Bengal. The dune-backed Old Digha Sea Beach faces the Bay of Bengal. Close by, the Marine Aquarium and Regional Centre (MARC) is home to sharks, rays, and sea snakes. To the west, inland from sandy New Digha Sea Beach, leafy Amarabati Park surrounds a lake. West of town, the white-domed Chandaneswar Shiv Temple is dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva.
Itinerary :
DAY 1 :
Early morning, start from Kolkata towards Digha. Check-in hotel and in the evening explore the city.
DAY 2 :
Watch sunrise above the sea. Go out to the sea for a bath, play beach ball. Evening free for leisure. Overnight stay.
DAY 3 :
Proceed towards Mandarmoni. En-route breakfast and reach the beach. Enjoy and experience water sports. Ride the local motorized rickshaw on the beach to nearby Mohona and see the army of Red Crabs. Evening bonfire. Overnight stay.
DAY 4 :
Either stay at Mandarmoni for a day or tour Tazpur. Come back before lunch to Mandarmoni or proceed to Shankarpur. Relax and overnight stay at Madarmoni / Shankarpur.
DAY 5 :
Watch sunrise. Take a stroll on the beach. Enjoy local breakfast offered. Take a bath at sea. Have lunch and proceed to the airport for an onward journey.
